Common questions

Shoes

Is it machine washable?

Yes! Oobend shoes can go right into the washing machine. Use a gentle cycle with cold water, then let them dry naturally.

What size should I choose if I have swollen feet?

If your feet swell, here is our advice:

Order one size above your usual shoe size

The flexible upper adapts to your foot for comfort

At its widest point (size 42), the toe box is 9.5cm across, leaving your feet room to breathe

When you fall between two sizes, pick the bigger one

Are they slip resistant?

Yes. Rubber traction pods on the soles give dependable grip on most surfaces. On tile, hardwood or outdoor ground, you can walk confidently, knowing the shoes keep you steady.

Why are they so comfortable?

Four key features create the comfort: a barefoot design that lets your foot move naturally, a Japan-Knit upper that flexes with your feet, never squeezing or slipping; massaging footbed nodes that boost circulation as you step; plus flexible, lightweight foam that moves along with you. There is no break-in period and no blisters, just comfort right from day one.

What is a zero drop sole?

With a zero drop sole, the heel and toe sit at the same height off the ground, unlike conventional shoes that raise the heel. This layout supports natural foot placement and motion, which may aid good alignment and lessen foot strain. It forms part of how we support natural foot recovery.

Sizing

I wear a half size. Which size should I order?

If you fall between sizes, we suggest going up to the next full size. For instance, a 7.5 wearer should order an 8. That gives your feet some extra room to move and a better fit, particularly if you plan to wear socks.

Do orthotics fit inside Oobend shoes?

Yes! The shoes have removable insoles so custom orthotics can go in. They are deep enough to hold most standard orthotic inserts while staying comfortable and supportive.

Are wide or narrow widths available?

At the moment our shoes come in one standard width that suits most foot shapes. The materials have a little natural give for slightly wider feet, yet still hold their structure for narrower ones.

Do the shoes stretch out with wear?

The shoes keep their shape well under regular wear. They may break in slightly as they mold to your particular foot, but they will not stretch out much. That helps keep comfort and support lasting for the whole life of the shoe.

Do the shoes run true to size?

Yes, they are made to follow standard sizing. For the most accurate fit, though, measure your feet with our size guide before ordering. Feet are usually a bit larger in the evening, so measure then for the most comfortable fit.
